  • Cumberland Public Library

Presenter(s)/Discussion Leader(s):

Ryan Racette, Storyteller

An in-depth view of children's literature, its role in library programming, and what importance it plays in children's development will be taken at this program. You'll learn the tricks to tell fun, exciting, engrossing stories, learn new ways to expand the stories, and which stories tell those subtle lessons so important to growing children. After this workshop you will have a better understanding of which stories to tell with a book list specially made to help librarians.

Ryan Racette, also known as Big Ryan, has been telling his tall tales throughout New England for over a decade. His original stories, puppetry, and high energy have earned him a loyal following at public libraries, schools, and festivals. Visit him at bigryanstalltales.com.
