A Section of the Rhode Island Library Association

SLRI Spotlight -- Spring 2021

At its April 6 meeting, the RI Council on Elementary and Secondary Education voted unanimously to endorse the AASL National School Library Standards. The Council's vote came after an eloquent and excellent presentation by SLRI's Sarah Hunicke, Mary Moen and Deanna Brooks and was the culmination of almost two years of work by SLRI, RIDE and the RILA Legislative Action Committee. Thanks to all for your persistent and tireless advocacy!  The Council meeting was recorded and is available to the public on this link. Advance to the 2 hour 15 minute mark to see the presentation.
